The Roberts Girls | Fort Monroe, Virginia

My second shoot on Friday afternoon was the adorable little Roberts girls. We used Fort Monroe as the backdrop and were seriously chasing the light. They girls were too cute for words! They were wearing their fancy little dresses and had on some killer cowboy boots! We ended the evening with some beach shots as the sun set, and it was just an all around fun afternoon/evening walking around with them and Julie! Here are some shots!

The Uhler's | Fort Monroe, Virginia

This past Friday I met up with a wonderful family, the Uhler's. Nick and I know Ross and Emily from our church, Grace Baptist Chapel. They are wonderful people and a joy to be around. Emily and I had been discussing their session for a week or so, and she really wanted to do a beach session since they were stationed so close to one. At first we discussed Yorktown, but the more I thought about it, I figured Fort Monroe might be a better fit. You get the beach aspect of Hampton Roads and you get the historical aspect of this great fort.

So I met up with them and their five wonderful little ones (well some are not-so little). We snapped some shots along the beach, taking a few quick and impromptu breaks here and there as two little ones made a break for the waves, and then continued once they had been captured. After we finished up at the beach we ventured over to explore inside the moat and let their four boys loose. I think that part of the shoot was perfect for them! They are such a fun family, full of laughter and jokes and it made this what could have been an intimidating session due to size, so, so easy to do! Here are a couple of shots from that day.

Dale and Lindsay . . . and Baby | Fort Monroe, Virginia

I cannot believe Lindsay and Dale are about to be parents here seen! It is so exciting and wonderful. As I was driving to their shoot, I couldn't help but to think about how far they have come, I may have even shed a tear. I've known Lindsay since high school, and I think Dale since our senior year or the following, whenever we all worked at the fabulous OPCW!

I remember sitting among the rows of people at their wedding watching them exchange their vows, and now, now I'm able to share this new season of their life with them by capturing it on camera. It is truly a blessing to watch your friends grow and move into new seasons of their lives. I'm beyond excited for them and for their new roles as parents. They will make amazing parents, this little girl is already so loved. I can't wait to meet her!

The three of us took a little trip around Fort Monroe a little awhile ago to capture a couple pictures of Lindsay's growing belly! Aren't the shoes and that onesie absolutely adorable!! Gosh!

Annika Turns One | Fort Monroe, Virginia

Oh I love this sweet little girl! It is hard to believe she is already a year old, crazy! It has been a fun year watching her grow, there is never a dull moment with her around. She has turned into a walking, semi-talking, funny face making machine! And if you need her attention, just go "YAY!" - it makes everything great! Here are some pictures from her one year mini session we did last week.
