Jacquelyn | Smithfield, Virginia

This past Saturday, Jacquelyn and I headed over to Smithfield to take a few photographs. Jacquelyn has been wanting to get some done and I needed a few new portrait examples for my up and coming graduation portfolio. We drove around for awhile looking for the perfect location and eventually settled upon the walking trail across from Smithfield Station that leads to Windsor Castle Park. The scenery was perfect, it was beautiful and relaxing. I love photographing with woods in the background, there is something about it that is just so amazing!! Here are some shots from our little adventure.

Smithfield and Surry Adventure | Personal

Last Saturday, Nick and I went roaming around Smithfield and Surry. It was a really nice day and the drive was so much fun! We took my camera and my Dad's camera along for the ride so I could get some pictures for class and get some practice in. We passed this one barn or barns that were really torn down, but they were beautiful! I love Rustic America. As we drove through downtown I saw two churches that I really liked, it's something about the way churches are built, especially older ones. Finally we went to Bacon's Castle, which was unfortunately closed to inside tours because it's still kind of torn up from the hurricane. But we went cotton pickin'!
